What will you pass on to future generations? If you had a godly heritage, you want to give the same thing to your children and your children’s children. But your background may have been filled with ungodliness, neglect, cruelty, violence, addictions, or scarring from verbal abuse, and you may wonder if it will ever be possible for you to pass a blessing on to your family members.

You can allow the pain of the past to hold you in bondage, or you can make a choice that the past will not dictate your future. In the name of Jesus Christ and His shed blood on Calvary, tell the enemy he is through messing with your family. Begin each day by reading My Word. Talk to your children about what it means. Live a life immersed in love, truth, and hope, and give your children the security of knowing that I am their Comforter and Protector. Reject fear. Embrace hope. Live as a child of the Most High God and pass that confidence and legacy of faith on to your entire family.

Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. . . . Talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night.
