Fully Awake

Glorify Me by being fully aware of My presence. When you awaken in the morning, I am here. When you go through the challenges of the day, I am with you. When you lay your head on your pillow at night, I am there. Sometimes you long to hear My audible voice, but that is not the way I communicate with you at this time. Your relationship with Me is a walk of faith, not a walk of sight.

Staying spiritually alert requires discipline. Develop constant spiritual sharpness and attentiveness as you anticipate the return of My Son. Keep your heart and mind focused on what’s happening around you, watching for the glories that are just around the corner. Stay prepared by rehearsing My truth. Follow the apostle Paul’s advice: “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart” (Colossians 4:2). You long to know the end date for your struggle in this fallen world, but until you do, follow these instructions: “Since you don’t know when that time will come, be on guard! Stay alert!” (Mark 13:33).
