Everyone longs for acceptance from others. But what do we do when we feel rejected, lonely, or disappointed?

The longing for acceptance can be satisfied only when we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are fully accepted by the one who created us out of love.

God’s love is not dependent on your behavior. He doesn’t accept you less when you sin, nor does your good behavior make him accept you more. God accepts you and loves you just as you are.

The practices this week require honesty about where you search for acceptance and how you receive God’s acceptance. Let his promises of love and approval sink into your heart so that you can bravely face difficult truths about yourself without feeling condemnation.
