What If It Were Today?

Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away.

1 Corinthians 7:31

How would you feel if you knew Jesus would be coming back today? In complete honesty, is there any part of leaving this world that would make you sad?

Perhaps not getting married?

Not being able to watch your children grow up?

Having your hard-earned career cut short?

Never traveling to a place you’ve always wanted to see?

This exercise is hard because your feelings may be focused on family and friends.

Even so, ask God if you might be overattached to certain aspects of your life. End your meditation time by referring to 1 Corinthians 2:9.
