Valued Treasure

Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

Matthew 19:21-22

What is something you could give that would really be a sacrifice for you?

Perhaps a large financial gift, a possession you own that someone else admires, or your time during a busy week?

How can you begin the process of giving this gift today?

As you think about this huge act of generosity, tell the Lord how it feels to let this treasure go, and ask him to replace it with peace and joy.
