The Weight of Technology

Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Read this verse again—slowly.

Now think about your use of technology.

How often does it slow you down spiritually?

Cause you to sin?

Take your focus off Jesus?

Ask the Lord how he would like you to be more intentional this week about unplugging.

For example, perhaps you could replace social media with prayer or put all technology in another room when you read your Bible.

Doing so may help you better keep your eyes on him.
