Six Ways to Serve Today

[Jesus said,] “I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me. . . . When you did it to one of the least of these . . . you were doing it to me!”

Reflect on the six different ways to serve from the above Scripture:

• Feed someone.
• Give someone a drink.
• Invite a lonely person into your home.
• Give someone clothing.
• Care for someone sick.
• Visit someone who is shut in.

Choose one of these six ways to serve today and imagine you are serving Jesus. How does this affect your perspective on servanthood?
