Pride Test

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

1 Timothy 6:17

Shop in places below your usual “standard” this week.

Instead of going to the usual brand-name department stores, go to a thrift store or secondhand shop.

Buy food at a less expensive store instead of a high-end grocery store.

How easy or difficult is this for you?

Ask the Lord to show you any pride in your heart as you shop, and then confess that to him.
