Meditate On God’s Presence

Meditate on God’s Presence

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

Romans 8:5

Set an alarm to go off three times today.

When you hear the alarm, take note of what you are thinking at that moment.

Practice redirecting your thoughts to God and his presence by simply talking to him about what is on your mind right then.

Ask his Spirit to control your thoughts by reminding you to give them over to God.

This exercise is about training your mind to focus more on God than on things that are less important, or things you know you shouldn’t be thinking about.
