Listen

Listen

They hated knowledge and chose not to fear the Lord. They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them. Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way.

Proverbs 1:29-31

Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others.

Proverbs 12:15

How do you usually respond when someone corrects you or offers constructive criticism?

Do you become irritable and defensive, or open and willing to consider it?

The next time you are corrected, ask yourself if the constructive criticism might actually be from God, who has prompted a person to speak to you.

If you knew the correction was from God, would you be more open to learning from it?
