Knowing Your Weak Spots

2 Corinthians 2:11

In Journey with Jesus, spiritual director Larry Warner asserts that an evil spirit sent by Satan is a “brilliant military commander, who will attack you again and again at two points: your personal weakness and places of internal complacency.”*

Do you know where you are most vulnerable to temptation? Are you familiar with how Satan likes to tempt you in these areas?

If not, take note of where your mind often tends to drift. Since Satan knows your weak spots, make every effort to know them as well so you can defend yourself against his attacks.

Today, ask God and a trusted friend where your weak spots are. Be willing to be open to what you hear. Then whenever you find yourself tempted in those areas, pray instead, asking God to rule over your mind and heart.
