In Whom Is Your Confidence?

Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.

Psalm 146:3-5

Are there certain people you have come to rely on more than God?

What qualities do they possess that make you trust them?

Do you have trouble believing that God possesses those same trustworthy characteristics? Why?

Remember that God loves you and desires an authentic relationship with you, so take time to talk honestly with him about what keeps you from fully trusting him.
