A Father’s Love

[Jesus said,] “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.”

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!

1 John 3:1

Close your eyes and imagine yourself as a child. Picture God as your father sitting in a chair and inviting you to come sit on his lap and talk to him about your day.

What emotions come up as you picture this scene? Do you feel uncomfortable? Nervous? Afraid? Excited? Comforted?

Share these feelings with the Lord in prayer. Ask him to show you how these feelings impact your ability to receive his love.
