The Blessings In Life

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

Matthew 5:6

Everyone wants the good things in life. But God’s idea of blessings are often much different from our own. Whereas some may pursue material gain or relationships for their happiness and are left disappointed, our heavenly Father understands that real contentment originates elsewhere.

In fact, Psalm 34:10 promises, “Those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.” Those who pursue God daily find a fulfillment that transcends what this world has to offer. The more you understand your wonderful Savior and Lord, the more you will yearn to know Him better still.

This is what motivated the apostle Paul to say, “Everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8 NLT).

Friend, the best, most enjoyable blessings you will ever experience are those that bring you closer to Christ and fit you for His plan for your life. So seek Him with your whole heart, because assuredly, with Him are the best blessings, and you shall be filled.

Jesus, I hunger for Your presence. Draw me close to You today and every day, amen.

In His presence . . . be satisfied.
