Spend The Time

Spend The Time

My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him.

Psalm 62:5

Do you set aside time to contemplate the Lord, listen to Him, and allow Him to transform your spirit? You should. Because when you do, you get to know His character and ways—you discover His will for your life. This doesn’t happen in an instant—it takes regular, dedicated communion with Him.

At times, He will even send adversity to motivate you to linger in His presence. This is because He knows if you’re distressed about an issue, you’ll be willing to abide with Him longer, seeking His strength and wisdom. And it’s amazing how He will minister to your troubled heart—giving you unfathomable life, joy, peace, and direction—when you take the time just to sit in His presence.

Friend, the important thing is that you meditate on God and His Word daily. You were created for fellowship with Him. And when you focus on the Father, you’ll be transformed from within and equipped to face the challenges that await you.

Lord, as my Source and Creator, I will make time for You. Transform me so I may carry out Your wonderful plans for my life, amen.

In His presence . . . renew your heart and mind by meditating on Him.
