What is the power of having godly values?

No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

How do you spend most of your free time? Who is your favorite entertainer? Who are your best friends? What do you think about most? How do you spend your money? Your answers to these questions will show what you value most. Whatever you consider important, useful, and worth a lot is what you value. You may have heard someone described as having no values. But everyone has values, good or bad. The problem comes when you don’t value what is best for you and instead let the world’s values shape you. Your values are crystal clear to those around you, because what you do, where you spend your time and money, and what you talk about shows exactly what you value the most. When you value God the most, it will be reflected in the words you speak and in how you spend your time, energy, and money. When you love and worship the Lord, obey him wholeheartedly, make godly choices, and serve others, you are displaying godly values, and your life will be purposeful in a powerful way.

Divine Promise

Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
