Comfort

Comfort

My Question for God

In times of distress, how will I experience God’s comfort?

A Moment with God

Whenever they were in trouble and turned to the LORD . . . and sought him out, they found him.

2 Chronicles 15:4

The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.

Nahum 1:7

God doesn’t always act in the way you might expect. You might expect him to comfort you by providing things that you think you want or need, but the Bible says that often God comforts you with his presence, not with provisions. Things are temporary, but God is eternal. Your needs and wants are constantly changing. Material provisions can provide comfort for a time, but God is the only source of comfort at all times. Every time you need comfort, God shows up, not with presents, but with his abiding presence.

Divine Promise

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Isaiah 41:10
