Children

My Question for God

What can children teach me about God?

A Moment with God

[Jesus said,] “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Matthew 18:3-4

[Jesus told his disciples,] “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

Mark 10:14-15

Jesus was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, and he said, “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way.”

Luke 10:21

Children demonstrate the kind of innocence, curiosity, and faith that is so dear to God. They approach life eager to experience new adventures and learn about the world around them, and they trust their parents to be there to guide and comfort them and meet their needs. God wants his children to approach life the same way. He is delighted when we are willing to follow him on the adventure of life, learn all we can about him, and trust him for all we need. Adults often tend to make life too complicated, but Jesus welcomes you to simply trust him and anticipate with delight the blessings of divine moments with him.
