What does God think when he sees all my faults and limitations?

A MOMENT with GOD

The angel of the Lord came and sat beneath the great tree at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash of the clan of Abiezer. Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites. The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!”

Judges 6:11-12

The angel of the Lord greeted Gideon by calling him “mighty hero.” Was God talking to the right person? This was Gideon—the guy who was hiding in a winepress from his enemies, the guy who claimed to be the least in his whole family (v. 15). Yet God called him a mighty hero. God’s message to Gideon—and to you—is clear: You are more than what you appear to be or what you think you are. God calls out the best in you. He sees more in you than you see in yourself. You may look at your limitations, but God looks at your potential. If you want to increase your opportunities, learn to see life from God’s perspective. He doesn’t put nearly as many limitations on you as you put on yourself. He sees within you the person he created you to be. How encouraging—the almighty God of the universe sees you for what you can become rather than for what you are! Don’t hide because of your limitations; allow God to give you a divine moment by using you in spite of them.

DIVINE PROMISE

Each time [the Lord] said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
