MY QUESTION for GOD

I think I’m kind. What does the Bible say kindness looks like?

A MOMENT with GOD

There was a believer in Joppa named Tabitha (which in Greek is Dorcas). She was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor.

Acts 9:36

Kindness is not just a single act—it’s a lifestyle. Begin by showing kindness in the little things you do and say; eventually you will learn to be kind in all situations.

If you see your neighbor’s ox or sheep or goat wandering away, don’t ignore your responsibility. Take it back to its owner. . . . If you see that your neighbor’s donkey or ox has collapsed on the road, do not look the other way. Go and help your neighbor get it back on its feet!

Deuteronomy 22:1, 4

Kindness is not looking the other way or ignoring the needs around you; kindness is attentive to the needs of others and responds sensitively to them.

The people of the island were very kind to us. It was cold and rainy, so they built a fire on the shore to welcome us.

Acts 28:2

Kindness is looking for opportunities to help other people.

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Colossians 3:13

Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it.

1 Peter 3:9

Kindness is showing forgiveness and mercy to others, even if they don’t deserve it.

John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”

Luke 3:11

Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

Hebrews 13:2

Kindness is generously sharing what you have with others, even people you don’t know.

A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.

2 Timothy 2:24

Kindness is teaching others by your example to be peace-loving and patient.

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Ephesians 4:29

Kindness is using encouraging and helpful words rather than offensive or critical words.

Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

Ephesians 6:9

Kindness is using your authority appropriately, not abusing it.

If you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.

Matthew 10:42

Kindness is not necessarily a major, award-winning event. God sees and rewards every act of kindness, even small ones.

DIVINE PROMISE

The LORD is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. Psalm 145:17
