Failure
Failure
MY QUESTION for GOD
What is failure in God’s eyes?
A MOMENT with GOD
What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
Matthew 16:26
Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.
Matthew 7:24-27
It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.
Isaiah 59:2
If you were to reach the end of your life having managed a successful business, raised a good family, won all kinds of community awards, and retired comfortably, would you say your life was a success? God says that kind of life would be a failure if you did all those things apart from him. Failure in God’s eyes is not living the way he created you to live. God instructs you to live his way for a very good reason—to help you make the most of life, both now and in eternity. God gave you the gift of life and created you to have a relationship with him. Your greatest failure would be to reject that life and the God who gave it to you. Don’t fail by neglecting or ignoring God. He knows the best way to succeed in life. You will fail if you go against him and try to live your own way. You will succeed if you discover what a relationship with God means for your future.
DIVINE PROMISE
The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24
