MY QUESTION for GOD

How can I be an effective spiritual teacher to those I lead?

A MOMENT with GOD

You yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.

Titus 2:7

You must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 3:14-15

Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.

Psalm 112:1-3

The godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children who follow them.

Proverbs 20:7

I will teach you hidden lessons from our past—stories we have heard and known, stories our ancestors handed down to us. . . . We will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.

Psalm 78:2-4

A leader who is right with God has a much better chance of teaching others to become right with God. Others will follow the example you set. Throughout the Bible we see leaders passing on their own personal stories of faith. Here are some ways you can pass along a spiritual heritage to others:

• You can encourage them to experience a personal relationship with God, beginning with salvation through Jesus Christ.
• You can encourage them to live according to God’s standards in the Bible, demonstrating by your own life how it gives joy and meaning to all you do.
• You can give them godly instruction based on Scripture.
• You can exemplify faith, obedience, and integrity. Those who love and respect you will follow in your footsteps.
• You can boldly tell your story of faith so others will see God’s faithfulness to you.

If you do these things, you will effectively teach those around you and future generations about your faith. Many will follow in your footsteps, and God will be pleased with your efforts.
