Negotiation
Negotiation
MY QUESTION for GOD
What are some godly principles for negotiation?
A MOMENT with GOD
Do not defraud or rob your neighbor. Do not make your hired workers wait until the next day to receive their pay.
Leviticus 19:13
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.
Matthew 7:12
The Lord demands accurate scales and balances; he sets the standards for fairness.
Proverbs 16:11
Boaz went to the town gate and took a seat there. . . . “Come over here and sit down, friend. I want to talk to you.” . . . Then Boaz called ten leaders from the town and asked them to sit as witnesses. . . . Then Boaz said to the elders and to the crowd standing around, “You are witnesses that today I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelech, Kilion, and Mahlon.”
Ruth 4:1-2, 9
Treat others as you would want them to treat you, with honesty and fairness in all your dealings. You should not ask, “Am I getting everything I can get out of this deal?” Instead ask, “Is this deal fair for all parties?” This attitude may not be well accepted in many businesses today, but the alternative is to compromise your integrity. The personal cost to you is great when you do that. Almost anything is easier to restore than damaged integrity. Knowing that you have maintained your integrity throughout a negotiation is a divine moment when you feel the God’s approval. You can be sure that you have pleased your real boss.
DIVINE PROMISE
PEOPLE WITH INTEGRITY WALK SAFELY, BUT THOSE WHO FOLLOW CROOKED PATHS WILL SLIP AND FALL. Proverbs 10:9
