Deeper Life #360

Deeper Life #360

And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

—Ezekiel 36:23

THERE IS AN ATTITUDE TODAY that I call “Pharisaic holiness.” People with this attitude have forgotten the horrible pit and miry clay from whence they have been dug out by the mighty atonement of Jesus Christ. These people thank God, with an arrogant offensiveness, that they are not as “other men are.”

The Holy Spirit continually takes back the saint of God, in memory, to what he once was. For as God told the children of Israel in Ezekiel, He sanctified them “not for their sakes but for His own.”

We need to remember that

Every virtue we possess

And every victory won,

And every thought of holiness

Are His alone.

Prayer Thought: To God be all glory and honor for the victory I have in Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
