Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
—1 Samuel 26:21
IF YOU ARE APT TO make a rash statement or judgment, then beware that it does not become a boomerang. God’s Word is always a boomerang to the worker who uses it, if the worker is not right.
Are you quite sure there is no strand of rebellion or stupidity in you? Are you quite sure you are not in the category of those who “ever learn and never come to a knowledge of the truth”? Otherwise, then the Word of God, when you try to deal with another soul, will come straight back to you.
If you are in the center of God’s will, then press the Bible home.
Prayer Thought: As I use the Word of God, Lord, help me to understand its far-reaching consequences for my life as well as for those I am trying to help.
