Deeper Life #289

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

—2 Timothy 3:6–7

HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED THAT the Bible requires men and women to read it? There are things in the Bible that will stagger you, things that will amaze, things that will affright—just as there are things in everyday life that amaze and terrify. But we dare not ignore the Bible, simply because we are perplexed by what we read there.

Too many Christians are “ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” True knowledge is to be found in God’s Word.
