And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

IF OUR RELIGION IS ONLY one of sunshine for the healthy-minded, it is no good, because many people throughout the world are not capable of enjoying sunshine. Their lives are so twisted and tortured that exactly the opposite seems to be their portion. All of our talking about healthy-mindedness, about cheering up and living in sunshine, will never touch that crowd.

If all Jesus Christ can do is tell someone to be better when he is poorly, if all the Christian worker can do is tell someone he has no business feeling miserable, then I say the Christian religion is a failure.

But the wonder of our Lord Jesus Christ is just this: You can confront Him with any kind of person you like—no matter how wan and dejected—and He can put that person into a right relationship with God.

Prayer Thought: I praise You, Lord, for Your power to overcome all the trials and troubles of life.
