THE ISRAELITES MIGHT HAVE GREATLY disliked Caleb and Joshua since they were the only ones originally allowed to enter the Promised Land. Why? Because they knew Caleb and Joshua were right and wanted to go the right way, and they did not.
Judas had hatred against Jesus because he was unwilling to do what was right. He refused to have the carnal self-eradicated out of him. And when the time came for the Lord to expose him, Jesus referred to Judas as the “son of perdition.”
Judas could have been one of Christ’s own, but he chose otherwise. Neither men nor angels nor devils have the slightest bit of power over the soul of man, unless that soul first gives consent.
Prayer Thought: Dear Lord, grant that I will never reject You for temporary satisfactions.
