Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

JESUS DID NOT PROMISE WE would comprehend everything after we are entirely sanctified. He did suggest that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth from the point of sanctification, though growing pains will be characteristic of a sanctified life.

Sanctification is the point at which the soul is married to the Lord and the Holy Spirit fills us. God’s will is that all of us should be saved (1 Timothy 2:4) and sanctified (1 Thessalonians 4:3). There is no obscurity about these statements of His will. They are clear signposts on our spiritual journey, indicating where we can expect divine guidance to begin.
