Righteousness Is A Free Gift

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 10:4

Christ did in His perfect flesh what the flesh of mortal man could never do—keep the law of God. There is nothing wrong with the law; it is just and holy and good (Romans 7:12).

The problem is sinful human flesh. We have no ability to keep God’s holy law. And if one is going to establish his own righteousness, it means keeping 100 percent of God’s requirements according to the law. To break the law in one point is to break it all (James 2:10). Therefore Christ came into the world to do what we could not do—satisfy the requirements of the law in order to win righteousness for those who would receive it as a free gift instead of trying to earn it themselves.

Christ is the end of righteousness for all who believe. Are you one who has believed? If so, let your life become an “I love You” to God, thanking Him for what Christ has done for you.
