Living Or Dying

Living Or Dying

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

An aged Scotchman, while dying, was asked what he thought of death. He replied, “It matters little to me whether I live or die. If I die, I will be with Jesus, and if I live Jesus will be with me.”

When you really consider life and death, is your attitude similar to the aged Scotchman? Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the drudgery of everyday routines. But what makes life worth living is our hope in Jesus Christ. The Christian life is a commitment that always looks toward eternity.

Perhaps one of the greatest joys that comes with age is realizing that your relationship with God deepens and continues to reach new and amazing levels. Celebrate this joy by sharing the good news with younger generations. By being a living example of the hope you have in Christ, you are able to reach out to others with His amazing love.

Whether you die at the end of this day or live—Jesus will be with you! Everyone must face death, but you can face it with Jesus by your side. Focus on the future of eternity with Jesus, so that every day you are alive is a reflection of Him.
