Daily Power #88

Daily Power #88

Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct in love, in faith, and in purity. (1 Tim. 4:12)

I’m always blessed and humbled when people follow me on different social media platforms. But knowing that so many people from around the world can view whatever I tweet or post always gives me pause. I want to do my best to reflect Jesus in everything I say and do, whether online or face to face.

You may not even be aware of how many people watch you on a daily basis, but I would guess it’s more than you might think. Now more than ever, others scroll, click, or follow what you do and say online. Others post pics, snapshots, or pin common interests too. A careless comment, mean-spirited tweet, or prideful page status could send the wrong signal to people who look to you as an example.

With so many people expressing their opinions, especially online, it’s tempting to think that no one will even notice your positive attitude—or lack of it. But they will.

Many people who don’t know God base their understanding of the gospel on what they see in your life.

Don’t let this responsibility pressure you. After all, it’s a privilege to reflect the love of God and the truth of Christ to those around you.

You don’t have to be perfect; just do your best to allow others to see your faith in action.

Power Lift

Dear Jesus, thank you for being my perfect role model and holy example. Remind me that others will see you in the things I do and say, whether online or in person. Help me reflect you today.
