God Is Near When You Call

Breathe Deep and Know: God is near when you call on Him.

When you call on God, He is near to you. He comes close to you, right beside you, and He stays by your side.

Although He is there, you may not always feel His presence. Sometimes our fear and anxiety overpower everything, and we feel alone and abandoned in those moments. But the truth and the promise we can cling to is that no matter what emotions we might be feeling, God is near when we call on Him. There is no limit to His presence, no qualifications are required to call on His name. He’s not just near to some people some of the time; He promises that He is near to all who call on him: “Come near to God and he will come near to you” (James 4:8).

Your heart may be swirling with fear or worry today. It’s okay. You are not alone. Breathe deeply and rest in His unwavering presence.

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
