God Holds Your Days And Your Nights

Breathe Deep and Know: God holds your days and your nights in His kind and gentle hands.

The sun and the moon, the light and the dark, the sunrise and the sunset, the clear skies and the storm clouds—it all belongs to God. He is in control of every rotation of the earth, every revolution around the sun, every season and shooting star. He made them all.

And just as He holds all of creation in His hands, orchestrating the movements of the universe in a delicate and beautiful balance, He is holding you through all your brightest days and the darkest nights, orchestrating your life into a glorious display of His goodness and grace.

It may not be easy to see this when we’re walking through those dark seasons and it’s hard to make sense of all the shadows, but God is just as present and in control there in the dark as He is in the light of day. He knows what He is doing, and you can trust Him.

As you pray this prayer, be reminded of the One who holds both your days and nights in His hands, the One who is holding you through every moment in life. He is not letting go. You can breathe in peace.

Both day and night belong to you; you made the starlight and the sun.
