God Cannot Be Shaken

Breathe Deep and Know: Your unchanging God is right beside you, keeping you safe and unshaken.

God doesn’t promise specific timelines for our struggles, and He doesn’t say that He will spare us from suffering or pain. But He does promise His presence. And He promises that He will give us rest. He will comfort us—not when we make it to the other side of our suffering but right in the messy middle of it all. And He can give you peace even if the struggles that surround you don’t change—because He can change you, from the inside out. And you can know His peace when life is like shifting sand—because He stays the same.

God’s character is constant. He is good, compassionate, gracious, faithful, loving, just, holy, patient, kind, merciful, and wise.

Nothing that happens in this world,

Nothing that happens in your life,

nothing at all, ever, not now or anything to come,

will ever change the character of God.

Your faith can be unmoving even when your world is shaking if your foundation is rooted in the unchanging character of God instead of on the shifting sands of circumstances.

I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety.
