Victory

Victory and victim are two sides of the same coin. A Bible college professor explained it this way: “Each day brings us choices and opportunities. The decisions we make and the course we follow will either make us victors over the enemy, or victims of the enemy.” Did you catch that? We are engaged in a war—a war with victims and a war in which there will be a victor. Thank God we have the Holy Spirit and the armor of God every time we go onto the battlefield. We have an enemy who, the Bible says, prowls about like a lion and seeks to destroy us . . . to make us his victim and to declare victory over us (see 1 Peter 5:8). But the Lord’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. Did you follow that? When we’re weak, we’re in a perfect position to emerge victorious. That’s when God’s strength is made perfect. Mom, I want you to be victorious. I want you to experience victory in your life. I don’t want you to be the victim ever again. Open God’s Word and ask Him to show you how to fight each battle you face. Then invite Him to manifest His strength through your weakness. Every day is a battle, and our enemy is relentless. You be relentless too, mom.

WHEN YOU OR YOUR CHILD NEEDS A WIN . . .

Victory comes from you, O LORD.

May you bless your people.

You belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

WHEN YOU FEEL ANYTHING BUT VICTORIOUS . . .

I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.
