Future

Future

WHEN YOU NEED TO REMIND YOURSELF (OR YOUR CHILD) THAT GOD’S PLANS ARE ALWAYS GOOD . . .

“I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

WHEN YOU START TO WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE . . .

So don’t worry about these things, saying, “What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?” These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Matthew 6:31-34

WHEN YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THAT YOU’RE JUST PASSING THROUGH . . .

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

Colossians 3:1-2

WHEN YOU NEED TO PICTURE A GODLY WOMAN WHO IS UNAFRAID OF THE FUTURE . . .

She is clothed with strength and dignity,

and she laughs without fear of the future.

When she speaks, her words are wise,

and she gives instructions with kindness.

She carefully watches everything in her household

and suffers nothing from laziness.

Her children stand and bless her.

Her husband praises her:

“There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,

but you surpass them all!”

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;

but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.

Reward her for all she has done.

Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Proverbs 31:25-31
