Confidence

Confidence

We live in a world where every self-help book and Internet expert touts the importance of self-confidence. We moms often read articles about self-image and self-confidence, even self-worth, trying to make ourselves feel better about ourselves, trying to convince ourselves we’re good mothers. But do you see the error? The focus is on self! As daughters of the King, our focus should not be on self but rather on the Savior. Because of Jesus, I can boldly say that I am loved. Because I’ve been adopted into God’s family, I can be confident that my worth is immeasurable and that my future is secure. Place your confidence in the Lord and His Word, precious mom. God will never fail you. He who began a good work in you will finish it. Good things are coming!

WHEN YOUR CONFIDENCE HAS BEEN MISPLACED . . .

Trust in the LORD with all your heart;

do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do,

and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6

WHEN YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO KNOW WHERE TO FIND CONFIDENCE . . .

Though I am surrounded by troubles,

you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.

You reach out your hand,

and the power of your right hand saves me.

Psalm 138:7

WHEN YOU WONDER IF GOD IS LISTENING . . .

We are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

1 John 5:14-15
