“No weapon forged against you will prevail.”
Isaiah 54:17
It is all too easy to live in fear, fretting about what will happen next in the world and our nation as well as in our communities, families, and personal life of family, ministry, and work. We may also worry about what the enemy of our souls is up to. Will Satan attack our family? Will he cause us to stumble and fall into sin? Will we see a child turn from the Lord?
The enemy of our souls may attempt to harm us, but today’s promise from the book of Isaiah reminds us that nothing he does will prevail. His attacks may sideline us for a bit, break our hearts, and bewilder us. But Satan’s work will not prosper.
If you’re unsure, think for a minute about the God who protects you. He knows how to best shield you and defend you from the arrows of the evil one. He is smarter and stronger than Satan. Your good and powerful God will lead you through your current trial, no matter how difficult it is.
Lord, thank you that you won’t allow Satan’s attacks to prevail in my life, amen.
