One Step At A Time

Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.

While it’s good to set big goals for family, career, or personal achievements, it’s also important to set smaller daily goals. You can determine today to be kind toward others, to be humble, to respond gracefully even when someone takes advantage of you, to read your Bible, and to say an encouraging word. These practices bring great rewards over a lifetime. God promises to bless you for such small steps of obedience to him, for they are the essential building blocks of the bigger things that God wants you to accomplish—and the blessings you’ll receive in return.
