Fortified By God’s Grace

[The Lord] said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

The more we recognize our weaknesses and limitations, the more we understand God’s power at work within us. Feeling strong can make us proud and self-sufficient. But when we’re weak and weary, we have no choice but to depend on God to work through us. Then there is no doubt that it is by his power—not our own—that the task is accomplished. Today, will you exchange your weaknesses for God’s help and strength? His grace is all you need.
