Dual Delight

The LORD your God will delight in you if you obey his voice and keep the commands and decrees written in this Book of Instruction, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and soul.

Having a relationship with the Lord of the universe is an amazing thing. God blesses us in countless ways with his love, presence, and good gifts. But it’s important to remember that a good relationship works in both directions. Can finite, sinful human beings truly bring joy and delight to the Lord, the Creator of the universe? God says yes! He created you because he wants to have a relationship with you, to delight in being with you. We can bring joy to God by honoring him with our trust, regular communication, honesty, humility, and service. Today, take the opportunity to invest in God’s beautiful law of mutual delight.
