Anticipate Good Things

“I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Many people picture God as stern and vindictive, just watching and waiting for the chance to zap humans with bolts of misfortune. But this verse illustrates the opposite: God loves you and wants only good things for you. He wants your future—both in this life and in heaven—to be bright and hopeful.
