A Spectacle Of Glory #292

A Spectacle of Glory #292

Read: Deuteronomy 33:25, NKJV

I was discouraged one morning, but God had already sent His provision of encouragement to come to my aid. It came in a letter from a young man named Nathan. He wrote, “Joni, when God says anything, He is promising—which is as good as swearing. And what has God sworn concerning you? He says in Deuteronomy 33:25, ‘As your days, so shall your strength be.’ So are you feeling weak today? Just remember every hint of sadness or weariness only qualifies you all the more to lean on Christ with the full weight of your soul.” I’d never even met this guy, but he followed a simple prompting of the Holy Spirit, enabling me to breathe in fresh courage.

Do you know someone who is feeling discouraged? Listen to the Spirit’s prompting—and share a word of encouragement. Text it; email it; phone it; write it on a card; show up in person. Just follow through, and watch God work.

Dear Lord, this is an amazing prospect. To think I could be part of Your plan to breathe Your courage into one of Your struggling sons or daughters! I love that thought. Please nudge me into action through Your Holy Spirit and give me the very thoughts and words You want me to express.
