Read: Ephesians 3:20

As I work in a ministry to people with disabilities, I hear the words disabled and disability over and over. Sometimes it’s good to balance that emphasis by remembering that our God is able. Don’t you love that word? It means having the necessary power, skill, resources, and qualifications. That’s our God! And the New Testament declares it again and again: He is able to guard us. He is able to do more than we ask or imagine. He is able to make grace abound to us. He is able to keep us from falling. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Christ.^a We may think we can’t do His will, obey Him in the tough times, or resist certain temptations, and we may tell ourselves, “I’m not able.” But He is! His abilities more than compensate for our disabilities.

Father, You know there is so much I can’t do as I am. I am constantly reminded that if I am able to do anything at all, it is my God, the capable One. And You are more than willing to be my strength—and yes, my song.
