The Wisdom Store

Have you ever stored something? Most likely you stored something for a rainy day or for a celebration. In making preparations for a party, you set special things aside just for that occasion.

Cam Newton is famous for being a great quarterback and having certain antics and celebrations on the field. It appears that he has them planned out and ready to go. One of his classy celebrations is to take the football with which he scored and give it to a child seated in the end zone. The plan he has stored up in his mind makes kids’ experiences great at the games.

Did you know that God has something stored up, and he’s ready to give it to you today? Proverbs 2:7 states, “He stores up sound wisdom for the upright” (ESV). Whether you are going through a rainy day, a challenging season, or a catastrophe, wisdom is available to you.

If you are getting ready to celebrate a milestone of significance in your life or you are hoping to do something special, God also has wisdom stored up for you. As I write this, my wife and I are counting down the days until we celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary. We think it is wise to acknowledge this milestone in a significant way, so we have been preparing for and planning our trip away together.

Whatever is before you, the heavenly Father has a storehouse of wisdom ready to pour out to you. Seek him, ask of him, and receive from him today!

He stores up sound wisdom for the upright.
