God’s Statements
of Love to You
Be very careful to love the LORD your God.
A RELATIONSHIP with God is possible. Look at his statements of love to you:
I love you and have a plan for you:
My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10)
This is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (3:16)
I know you are imperfect, so you are separated from my love; our relationship is broken.
We’ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners . . . and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us. (Romans 3:23, MSG)
I love you, so I, who am perfect, paid the price for your imperfection in order to restore our relationship.
God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. (Romans 5:8-10)
To initiate this new relationship, all you need to do is to accept my payment for your imperfection. I cannot make you love me; that is your choice.
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
The word is out: God loves you. Want to tell God you love him?
