Stress

stress - How can I best handle the daily pressures of life?

As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands.

Psalm 119:143

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Matthew 11:28-29

JUGGLING marriage, finances, family schedules, a career, and church responsibilities, all while managing a home, is enough to stress anyone out. Sometimes the crushing responsibilities of life make us feel incapable of doing anything well. But we were not made to handle all this pressure on our own. God doesn’t place high expectations on us; we do that to ourselves. He simply asks us to come to him when life feels like too much to handle. If you are in a season of high stress, set your planner aside and open up your Bible. Spending time with God puts everything else into perspective and helps you see what is most important. Let him help you handle the stress so that you can find peace for your soul.
