Sex
sex - My sexual history is full of pain. How can I view sex the way God intended?
God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him.
John 3:17-18
Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow.
Isaiah 1:18
Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of sin.
Romans 4:7-8
THE WORLD SAYS sex should be casual and detached. This was never what God intended because it mistreats our bodies, damages our souls, and hinders our capacity for true intimacy. God’s view of sexuality is far more fulfilling than the world’s. God intended sex to bring joy and blessing to those within a marriage relationship. He intended it to be a gift allowing a husband and wife to express love to each other, delight in each other, and produce future generations. Perhaps you feel discouraged because your past has not exactly been pure. Or maybe sexuality is a painful topic because someone you trusted violated you. Whatever your sexual history, God is able to heal, restore, and redeem you. Even if you feel beyond repair, remember that this is the very reason God sent his Son, Jesus, into the world. He came not to condemn those who made mistakes but rather to bring them hope, peace, comfort, forgiveness, and salvation.
