Justice
justice - How does God call me to be a woman of justice?
Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever. For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly.
Psalm 37:27-28
The LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.
Isaiah 1:17
My mercy and justice are coming soon. My salvation is on the way. My strong arm will bring justice to the nations.
Isaiah 51:5
JUSTICE is about fairness in protecting rights and punishing wrongs. We often worry about how God is going to protect us, but God’s Word makes it clear that he has given us the responsibility of protecting others. What injustices in the world break your heart? What can you do to help the poor, vulnerable, and oppressed? Being a follower of God requires more than knowing what is good; it demands doing what is good. Someday God will set the whole world right. But for now, he wants you to partner with him to bring justice to the world. Be attentive to the injustices that break your heart; pray that God would lead you to act and would shape you into a woman who values justice.
